This is a reminder to all regarding the USS Indianapolis Museum Ships On the
Air event participation. Operators are still needed to help out with the
event. The plan is to have 3 stations in simultaneous operation. Operators
are needed starting Friday afternoon, June 5, at 5:00 pm (local time) for
set up, with operations scheduled to start at 8:00 pm local. The stations
will be running practically continuously through Sunday, June 7 at 5:00 pm,
when tear down will commence. Point your browser to
http://www.indyradioclub.org/ussindy.htm for more information. Contact
Chuck Crist, W9IH, at indytrax at core.com to schedule your operating time, or
just stop by the South Lobby of the IU Education and Research Building at
700 N. Senate Ave. (adjacent to the USS Indianapolis Memorial on the Canal).
This event is always lots of fun, and there should be some actual USS
Indianapolis survivors stopping by to chat with the operators at times.

CW operators will be more than welcomed, please bring your own key or
paddles for CW operation.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

73,
Ken
KJ9B
