To all interested in Amateur Radio and related areas:  Don't miss the next
meeting of the Indianapolis Radio Club, this coming Friday, June 9, at
7:30 pm.  There will be an informal social time prior to the meeting,
starting around 7:00.

The meeting is in IVY Tech Building NMC, room 438.  This is the fourth floor
auditorium in the building at 50 W. Fall Creek Parkway, N Dr. (See map at
https://www.ivytech.edu/files/downtownindymap.pdf)

The annual auction will be held at this meeting. If you have any gear you
want to find a new home for, bring it. You never know what is going to show
up at the auction.

Something new for this year's auction is a silent auction for items of
higher value with a reserve. Following is a rundown of how the silent
auction will be conducted, from Jim Rinehart, K9RU. The silent auction will
be conducted before the start of the regular auction.

There will be a sheet by each item with the bids. You will be able to see
the last bid, with the call sign of the bidder and raise the bid by entering
it on the sheet with your call sign.

Minimum bid is a $5 increase.

Items can be added to the silent auction that have a reserve of $100 at the
meeting.

We had requested that items for the silent auction be sent to Jim, K9RU and
below is the list of the ones received.

Jim K9RU

Items received to by listed for the Silent Auction:

1) An OHR-500 5-band QRP transceiver (bandswitching: 80, 40, 30, 20, 15
meters) in excellent condition.  It was built from a kit and worked the
first time. I used it on the air until the Elecraft K2 came along. The
reserve is $175. Rich Meiss, WB9LPU

2) An OHR Digital Dial frequency counter, a companion to the OHR-500.  It
can also be used with other rigs with appropriate internal jumper changes).
The reserve is $50, but I would rather sell it with the OHR-500, with a
combined reserve of $225. Rich Meiss, WB9LPU

3) Kenwood TS-450S HF Transceiver, SP-430 speaker, mic and ICOM PS15 power
supply. The reserve is $300. The radio is from an estate and is very clean.
Jay Kraus, W9TC

Hope to see you there!

73,
Ken, KJ9B
