[IRCNews] IRC Christmas Meeting

Dear IRC Members,

 

The planning committee would like to provide you an outline of the December
meeting.  We hope this allows you to plan better and encourages you to come
and bring family and friends.

 

Location:  Ivy Tech Community College, 2535 N. Capitol Ave, rooms IFC 101
and 102

 

SCHEDULE:

 

6pm – planning committee arrives to begin setup

6:30pm – members can start arriving

*	Videos start playing
*	Club provided food is ready to eat
*	Members start bringing in treats
*	50/50 tickets being sold (1=$1, 6=$5, 15=$10)

7:00pm – All food/drink is out and everyone is socializing

7:30pm – Announcements about the night and year ahead

7:45pm – Feature Event – Ham Radio Jeopardy

8:30pm – Jeopardy complete

*	50/50 money counted up

8:45pm – 50/50 prizes are drawn

9:00pm – Wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

 

 

FOOD:

 

Provide by the club

              Chili

              Meat/Cheese/Fruit/Veggie trays

              Milk

              Ice Tea

              Water

              Sodas (2 liters)

              Ice

              Chips

              Crackers

              Cups/plates/bowls/silverware/napkins

 

Provided by members (everyone is encouraged to bring a family recipe treat
or snack):

GAMES & PRIZES:

 

Jeopardy will be played by 4 teams and there will be 5 categories with 5
questions each worth (100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 points)

 

Jepoardy Winning Team – Pair of Tickets to the Indianapolis Symphony
Orchestra (Team Captain coordinates with team to determine recipient)

Jeopardy 2nd Place Team – Cantenna (Team Captain coordinates with team to
determine recipient)

Jeopardy 3rd Place – Bluetooth speaker (Team Captain coordinates with team
to determine recipient)

              Winner of each category 500 point question:  24 hour clock

 

Modified 50/50 

 

              6 tickets will be drawn.  Each winner will get their choice of
6 prizes (or however many are left)

              Prizes include (in order of value):  Yaesu FTM-100
transciever, MFJ Tuner, Karaoke machine, 30% of tickets sold, 20% of tickets
sold, and 10% of tickets sold.  (The remaining 50% of ticket sales will be
used to offset the cost of the radio that the club purchased).
