[IRCNews] Hill Top Event Next Saturday August 28th

Hello Everyone,

Next Saturday August 28th is the 2010 Hill Top Event.

If you want to operate from a hill as an individual or a group you can still
participate. To register a hill e-mail me at markmusick at sbcglobal.net with
the hill information as described on the club website by Thursday evening. I
will pass the information on to Tom, K9XV on Friday to post to the website.
Hopefully, Tom can have it updated Friday evening so those operating from
hills will know the number and names of the hills participating in the
event.

So far we have 6 hills registered with one and possibly two more yet to
register.

The event starts at 8 AM and finishes at 2 PM local time on the following
band mode combinations:

 

2 Meter SSB

2 Meter FM

6 Meter SSB

6 Meter FM

75 Meter SSB

 

The rules including frequencies and contact exchange are listed on the club
website.

Participants do not have to operate all bands or modes and you do not have
to be a club member to participate.

If you are not operating from a hill, please get on the air and give as many
of the hills contacts on as many band/mode combinations as you can. Every
contact counts for the hill participants. Set a personal goal to see how
many contacts you can make with each of the hills. 

Please pass this information on to anyone you think might be interested that
is not a club member or may not receive this e-mail.
