[IRCNews] January Meeting Reminder

To all interested in Amateur Radio and related areas:  Don't miss the next
meeting of the Indianapolis Radio Club, this coming Friday, January 13, at
7:30 pm.  There will be an informal social time prior to the meeting,
starting around 7:00.

The meeting is in IVY Tech Building NMC, room 438.  This is the fourth floor
auditorium in the building at 50 W. Fall Creek Parkway, N Dr. (SEE ATTACHED
MAP)

Jeff Hammer, N9NIC, will be giving a presentation on volunteer opportunities
in the area.  Following is his description of what will take place:

"The January 13th meeting of the Indianapolis Radio Club will focus on
volunteer civic/emergency/disaster communications support.  Organizations
will man an information table prior to the meeting beginning around 1830.
During the meeting each will do a short presentation and answer questions in
a panel format.  Organizations include:  RACES, ARES/Skywarn, MARS, SATERN,
and REACT.  Each plays a unique role in volunteer communications support and
they have a position waiting for you."
