[IRCNews] K9RAG, Richard Gerber SK

[Michael R. Palmer]

K9RAG, Richard Gerber, was known widely across Marion County on the air.  He
was always there to share his opinion, as others did.  

Richard was active in most of the ham radio assisted operating events such
as the Mini Marathon, 500 Festival Parade, ADA Tour-de-Cure, Indpls Half
Marathon, along with others.

He hung out on the 146.700 Repeater and was very active with Skywarn, mostly
being the liaison from the local net on the 146.760 to the statewide net on
the 146.970.

Being blind did not stop Richard from doing anything he set out to do.  He
volunteered for pretty much everything.  

The past few years, Richard owned and operated a vending machine refilling
business which kept him busy enough to be off the radio a lot.

His voice will be missed --- 73 Richard, you were a good friend.
