All, as you have probably heard, the Indiana QSO Party is coming up in a
couple of weeks on Saturday, May 2. This is a great chance to "get your
feet wet" in contesting. The contest begins at 1500 UTC on Saturday, May 2,
and runs through 0300 UTC on Sunday, May 3. This converts to May 2, 11:00
am to 11:00 pm, Eastern time.

Due to the current COVID-19 related restrictions that are in effect, and
currently scheduled to start easing as of May 1, the organizing committee of
the INQP has made some changes to the rules governing this year's INQP.
Following is a summary of the changes:

NOTICE: Due to COVID-19, the INQP 2020 rules have been modified to
accommodate the Stay Home orders.

A quick summary of changes implemented 18 April 2020:

The following changes apply to Indiana stations.

1. Mobile, Portable and Rover entry categories are disallowed.
2. The Multi-Single and Multi-Multi categories are allowed only with
certain limitations.
3. Two new categories, Distributed Multi-Single (DMS) and Distributed
Multi-Multi (DMM) are established for 2020.

Out of state (non-Indiana) stations:

1. Mobile, Portable and Rover entry categories are allowed, though INQP
recommends that everyone follow the rulings and orders in your own area.
2. Multi-Single and Multi-Multi categories remain in place, with the
allowance that participants may be distributed across their respective
state/province/DXCC entity.

For full details of the changes, please see the INQP Rules
<http://www.hdxcc.org/inqp/rules.html> .

Thanks for your understanding and flexibility regarding these changes for
2020.

73,
The HDXCC Club

The bad news about these changes is that perhaps some counties won't be
covered that were going to be covered by mobile or portable operations.
However, the good news is that hopefully the stations that we do have on the
air, since they will be stationary, permanent stations, will hopefully have
better signals to make even more contacts! How's that for a "glass half
full" outlook?

Anyway, I hope to work lots of Indiana stations on May 2!

Ken, KJ9B
